FAQs

If you’re contemplating whether to renovate or rebuild your new dream home, someone like us usually initiates the conversation. We conduct an initial consultation, either on-site or in our design studio, to delve into the project in greater detail and offer advice on the best course of action moving forward. This process also allows us to establish a connection before embarking on the exciting journey ahead. We typically manage the entire design and approval process, keeping you informed throughout. We also provide access to qualified and reputable builders, trades, and industry design consultants that suit your specific project needs.

Our dynamic team of five designers, each with unique expertise, drives our diverse design process. Typically, we commence with an on-site secondary meeting to confirm the client brief and acquaint ourselves with site constraints and opportunities. We explore multiple floor plan layouts, presenting them face-to-face to provide a clear direction. Revisions continue until you’re satisfied with the plan.

We then focus on developing the external form to achieve a look and feel that aligns seamlessly with your vision – offering guidance if needed. Our design approach is highly collaborative, with continuous idea exchange and mutual challenges to maximise project potential. All design and documentation are meticulously crafted in-house within our inspiring design studio, ensuring the highest standards of communication and quality.

Once you fall in love with the design and our vision aligns with your budget, we facilitate introductions to reputable builders. This allows for the preparation of a preliminary construction estimate, providing confidence that the project can be built to budget. Our commitment is to bring your vision to life, combining creativity, collaboration, and quality at every step of the process.

We project manage the entire approval process (and any application required prior to construction), making life easy for you and all parties involved. Direction around the most appropriate approval pathway is offered; avoiding the DA process with council and going down the quicker, more appealing route of Complying Development (CDC) can also be explained during the design process above. Any external design consultants required at any stage of the project is managed and coordinated by us to ensure a smooth-sailing process from concept to construction.

We then offer various levels of construction documentation (outlined upfront in our fee proposal), depending on the level of information you feel is appropriate for building and tendering purposes (this can be decided on when the time comes). Detailed architectural plans, interior design and a detailed schedule of fixtures, fittings and equipment is part of what we offer. Once all the design and documentation is finalised, you will have enough information to receive tenders back from builders; usually the more information provided means the closer you will get to a fixed price contract with no variations.
